After our resounding 3-1 FA Cup victory away at Preston just an hour ago, I thought this would be a suitable moment to pay my own homage to the greatest player ever to don the sky blue shirt of Manchester City, the little wizard himself, Mr. Georgiou Kinkladze..

Watch until the end to see the glorious slow motion replay of his wondergoal against Southampton, which I was lucky enough to witness, and which is reckoned by many seasoned observers (er,myself and Kevin Cummins) to be the finest goal ever scored by a City player. (I fully expect to have it pointed out to me that -pah!- this wasn’t even the finest goal in that game..)
